- From the information given in the following message, I would attribute the
- speed differential to the MTU and other settings within the respective
- winsocks. This is only a guess as I am not a guru, but I have seen radical
- performance changes by altering these settings. The default MTU for Windows
- 95 winsock is 1500, as opposed to the 1400 you stated your Trumpet is set for.
- I'm not sure what the RWIN and MSS defaults are for win95 either. These
- settings are well hidden within the Win 95 default and are edited only with
- some difficulty by using a lengthy procedure with Registry Editor.
